Description from the seller
Exceptionally signed copy by Paolo Roversi (born in 1947) on the front endpaper, a signed copy that is hard to find. 142 pages and 85 photographs in black and white and color, some of which are double-page, with commentary by Francesco Piccolo including quotes from Paolo Roversi.
To view the photographic series in full screen, double-click on a photograph, then you can return to the standard display at any time.
Of Italian origin, Paolo Roversi settled in Paris in 1973. Since then, he has worked for prestigious magazines (Italian and French Vogue, Egoïste, Luncheon…) and his career has been marked by his collaboration with the greatest fashion designers.
From his early years of learning, the choice of studio, large-format room, and Polaroid defined his working style and the photographer's aesthetic, which successfully adapted to digital. His signature is instantly recognizable: soft, sepia tones in black and white in daylight, and the density and depth of colors under torchlight. Over the years, Paolo Roversi has sought and invented his own photographic language, embracing chance and accidents as opportunities for renewal.
The greatest models have passed in front of his lens. They always pose with simplicity; their presence is intense. Each of his fashion photographs is a portrait. Paolo Roversi stands both at the heart of the system and at a distance, far from the fleeting currents of fashion. In search of beauty, he creates a unique body of work that time has not touched.
Book from my personal collection, in excellent condition (like new), carefully preserved. Shipping is very securely protected and international postal tracking is guaranteed. In case of multiple purchases, combined shipping is possible with a refund of any excess postal fees paid via Paypal.
