A fine Danish silver empire caster with fluted, domed lid embellished with leaves. The body and foot repoussed with floral borders Double hallmarked HR. According to the Danish book for silver hallmarks pre 1870, this hallmark is unidentified. A silver sign for the Danish silversmith association bears this mark and the city mark of Assens. The signed is dated 1795 and is now in the collection of the Odense museum Our book dates to the 1970es and the new edition from 2022 may contain more info.
