Published in 1996 in the Photo Musée series, this volume gazes solely at the female back, tracing a quiet tension between sensuality and form.
Japanese photographer Ryu Hanabusa focuses on shoulders, spine, nape, and waist, rendering the play of exposure and concealment in refined monochrome. Minimal settings and precise framing turn the body into a sculptural object, leaving a resonant calm. Issued by Shinchosha as part of PHOTO MUSÉE, softcover, portable format of approx. 20 cm.
Now out of print and increasingly hard to find, it is appreciated by collectors of fetish and nude photography as well as fine-art photobooks. A solid cornerstone for a focused collection.
