Le réflecteur est amovible à 360 °. La lampe s'allume et s'éteint par l'interrupteur orange, ou en décrochant la boule lumineuse de son attache aimantée (voir photo).

Le modèle 42901 est le plus grand modèle de lampe produit à cette époque par Osram. Cette lampe a gagné le prestigieux prix de IFDESIGN award en 1977.

L'ampoule est interchangeable (modèle E14 standard).

Elle est dans un état de fonctionnement et cosmétique impeccables.
