An authentic Zeiss Ikon Contax III, manufactured around 1938 in Dresden, Germany. Comes with the original Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 5cm f/2 lens (No. 2272143). A highly regarded pre-war optic. Condition: • Cosmetically good with some normal age-related wear (see photos for details) • Shutter fires correctly and can be seen opening and closing • Lens glass appears clear; aperture blades move smoothly • Exposure meter untested (common for this model) • Original body covering and engravings intact • Not serviced or tested with film A fine example of Zeiss’s pre-war engineering excellence.
