Zeldzaam meerkleurig bord dat in de Eerste Wereldoorlog is gemaakt. De Duitse bezetter van onder andere België en delen van Frankrijk wordt op de hak genomen, zoals aan de tekst is te zien:

"John Bull of't Moffie, we wachten ze op de koffie!"

"1914, Nederland, Oranje"

Een kanon met drie stuks munitie is afgebeeld op dit kerstbord / bord.

Nederland was neutraal en dus geen partij in die wereld, maar de gevolgen in ons land waren zeer voelbaar. Er waren onder meer tekorten aan zuivelproducten en kolen. Ook werden in Nederland veel Belgische vluchtingen opgevangen.

Een fraai stuk art deco / nouveau in prima kwaliteit. Zie foto's, die deel uitmaken van de omschrijving. De twee minieme oneffenheden op de rand zijn het gevolg van het bakproces (zogenoemde proenafdrukken).
