In this lot: A very nice orange Megalodon tooth with very good root from Sukabumi, Java, Indonesia. This is a lateral tooth from the lower jaw. It was used to hold the prey down before swallowing. Size: 12,1 cm Quality: There are no repairs or restorations done on this piece! The tooth is intact, smooth and beautifully colored. The serrations are very sharp. The tip is completely straight, pointy and sharp. Straight tips always have something extra in my opinion.. It has a beautiful warm orange color with some black and grey in the centre. The enamel on the display side is very smooth and shiny. The enamel on the front goes perfectly down all the way to the root. Something that is a bit rarer. The root is well preserved with a lot of actual fossilized tissue. That makes it a lot rarer in itself. The lobes are complete and nicely rounded. It has a orange and brown color complimentary to the enamel, which makes this a very nice piece for any collection!
