Quartz is guaranteed to be of natural origin by a certified gemmologist.
Called 'Herkimer diamond,' this double-terminated quartz gets its name from Herkimer County in New York, where it was discovered. Here, the provenance is different, so the name 'Herkimer' is not entirely appropriate.
We have here a rare specimen due to its unique crystallization: several twin-ended quartz have fused to form a single crystal.
