Description

A beautiful and rare matching giltwood vanity set, consisting of a central Louis XVI–style dressing table with an ornate mirrored back and two matching bedside cabinets.

The set is made in the French revival tradition, featuring:
	•	Hand-carved decorative motifs (ribbons, beading, acanthus scrolls, and floral ornaments)
	•	Woven cane/rattan panels on the mirror surround and cupboard doors
	•	Turned and fluted tapered legs typical of the Louis XVI period
	•	Original gilt / gold leaf–effect finish with intentional ageing (patina)
	•	Curved serpentine shapes and elegant proportions

The mirror is framed by a large triple-arched crest with cane detail and an oval central mirror, giving the piece a dramatic and luxurious appearance. can be hung on a wall it is not attached to desk 

This type of set was commonly made in France, Italy or Spain during the mid-20th century for luxury homes, inspired by 18th-century palace furniture.
