This lot features a striking antique jug created around the middle of 19th century in Germany. Decorated in dew drops pattern also called "Hobnail pattern", this special pitcher is also called a "warzenkrug" or a "bubble pitcher" - wich is a type of jug that is characterized by wart-like or warty protrusions on its surface. This piece is built with an attached delicate handle and its mouth is square shaped, with its three corners offering three optional points from where the liquid can be poured. The jug has broken pontil mark under its base and is in very good condition with no damages or restorations.
