One of many themes in the world of minerals is nature imitating nature. In fact, it's also a running theme in many human exploits too, in engineering, design, the sciences. So, when one sees this delicious, gelatinous and translucent yellow brucite clinging to a dark matrix, it is hard not to imagine it as something else - an omelette. The round ball shape especially adds to the impression that this stone came from something biological and "eggy".
