One of many themes in the world of minerals is nature imitating nature. In fact, it's also a running theme in many human exploits too, in engineering, design, the sciences. So, when one sees this delicious, gelatinous and translucent yellow brucite clinging to a dark matrix, it is hard not to imagine it as something else - an omelette. The round ball shape especially adds to the impression that this stone came from something biological and "eggy". If anyone looks as this superb brucite specimen and their mouth doesn't immediately water, then they clearly have no "taste" for good minerals.
