Up for auction is this amazing Fortis Pilot Chronograph from the 1940s
Beautiful white dial, with brushed finishing and gold numbers. 
This is most likely one of the first Fortis chronograph models ever made, and uses the very distinctive orange chronograph hand that Fortis still uses nowadays. 

Condition of the Watch:
- Dial in excellent condition. Case with some plated marks due to the years 
- Fully working and with the movement serviced. Everything works and keeps great time. 
- the crown is not original. Crown and steam were replaced during service. We can see that the crown is new and the chrono pushers are aged. 
The crown does push and pull perfectly but sits a bit outside.
- 1 year of local service store warranty on the service.

- Rare Valjoux 77 "Up / down" style chronograph with column wheel mechanism

Information about the watch:
- Caliber: Swiss Made Valjoux 77, Up/Down chrono, 17 Jewels, 18000 A/h
- The bracelet is a new 18mm brown leather strap, handmade for fixed lugs. 
Vintage military nylon strap is also offered.  
- Case with ~35mm diameter and 12mm thickness
- Acrylic crystal in great condition 
- Beautiful white dial with detailed subdials, gold numbers and a strong orange colour chrono hand. 

The same Valjoux movement was used in several vintage brands like Breitling and Heuer.
 
Delivery:
- The delivery will be done by registered mail (Tracking registered number)
- Shipped by the Portuguese national carrier CTT.
- The blue box is only used for the pictures, and it's not included. Watch sold in a normal paper box
