Questo Talisker vintage del 1978 è la prima release della serie Bodega, una gamma di whisky che mostra il legame delle distillerie con le case di sherry e le botti di sherry sin dalla sua fondazione nel 1830. Questa perla inaugurale è frutto del matrimonio di cinque botti di sherry, riempite per circa tre mesi con Talisker di 40 anni. Prima di arrivare in Scozia, le botti facevano parte di una solera, che faceva maturare il pluripremiato sherry Quo Vadis amontillado di Delgado Zuleta, anch'esso invecchiato di 40 anni.

Solo 2.000 bottiglie prodotte in tutto il mondo, presentate in astuccio di quercia intagliato a mano.
