Rare and valuable Russian Orthodox triptych in cast bronze with white enamel decorations, typical of the workshops of the Vecchi Credenti (Старообрядцы) of the 19th century.
The triptych consists of three panels connected by original hinges and richly decorated on both sides.
The three main scenes, highlighted with very detailed emphasis, represent:
Upper panel: the Crucifixion with the Virgin and Saint John on the sides, angels and praying figures.
Very elaborate and of high quality.
- Central panel: The Dormition of the Mother of God (Uspenie). The Virgin lying down, Christ receiving.
her soul, apostles and angels around.
- lower panel: the Nativity of Christ with animals, the Magi, the Virgin, and Saint Joseph, rendered in
Traditional Orthodox iconography
The edges of the panels are enriched with well-preserved white droplet glazes that enhance each scene.
The triptych maintains a uniform patina, hinges intact, and very clear reliefs.

Conditions: excellent for the era, well-preserved enamels, no breaks, functioning zippers.

Rare and high-quality Russian Orthodox cast bronze triptych, decorated with white enamel drops along the borders, typical of 19th-century Old Believers craftsmanship.
The triptych consists of three hinged panels, each richly detailed with deep relief scenes.
- Top panel: Crucifixion with the Virgin Mary, St. John, angels, and supplicants.
- central panel: Dormition of the Mother of God (Uspenie) – Christ receiving the soul of the Virgin, surrounded by apostles and angels.
- bottom panel: nativity of Christ, including the Virgin, Joseph, animals, and the Magi, in traditional Orthodox composition.
The enamelled border is exceptionally well preserved, and the casting quality is very high.
Original hinges, sharp reliefs, and a balanced patina throughout.

Condition: Excellent for its age. Enamel well preserved, strong structure, no cracks or repairs.
