2025 marks the first release of Bomberger's PFG (Precision Fine Grain) Kentucky Straight Bourbon. Precision is the goal at every stage of the Bomberger's PFG production process.

Bomberger's PFG is crafted by aging Kentucky Straight Bourbon in a new, toasted and charred American oak barrel. After full maturation, the Kentucky Straight Bourbon is removed from the first barrel and placed in a second, custom-built, proprietary, new, fine-grain French oak barrel, toasted and charred to the most exacting specifications. These barrels are toasted at a strictly defined temperature range for a precise period of time before being selectively charred. The whiskey is aged in these second barrels before being divided into small batches that undergo our exclusive filtration prior to bottling at 100.2 proof (50.1% ABV).

Bomberger's PFG finishing barrel is a blend of woods from various sources, including the renowned forests of Tronçais, Allier, Nevers, and Vosges. It is crafted from wood naturally air-dried for at least 40 months in France, near the Charente River, which boasts a unique maturation environment influenced by humidity, microflora, climate, wind direction, and altitude. After this maturation, the staves are hand-selected to build Bomberger's PFG finishing barrels.
