Tokyo Comedy" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. Looking back at the hundreds of books Araki has published so far, we can see how many of them have “Tokyo” in the title, starting with ‘Tokyo’ in his Gelibara days, “Tokyo Elegy” (1983), “Tokyo is Autumn” (1984), “Tokyo Diary” (1989), “Tokyo Story” (1989), “Tokyo Nude” (1989), “Tokyo Lucky Hall” (1990), “Tokyo Biyori” (1990), “Tokyo Nude” (1989), and “Tokyo Nude” (1989). This book is the Japanese edition of a catalog photo book published on the occasion of the “Nobuyoshi Araki Tokyo Comedy Exhibition” held at the Vienna Secession in the fall of 1997. It contains snapshots, landscapes, portraits, nudes, and bondage photographs taken in Tokyo.
