A fine silver drachm from Dyrrhachium in Illyria, struck under magistrates Meniskos and Kallonos. The obverse features a cow, standing right, suckling her calf with her head lowered towards the calf, with Nike flying above and a thunderbolt in the exergue. The legend reads MENIΣKOΣ. The reverse displays a double stellate pattern and a legend which reads ΔYΡ KAΛ-ΛΩ-NOΣ. Diameter: 1.9cm Weight: 3.21g Provenance: Ex London Art Market. N.B.
