Beautiful limestone coptic panel, frgamnet of an architectural relief. This panel probably comes from the end of a horizontal frieze. Its surface is carved with a complex version of the popular grapevine motif. Here the vine sprouts branches laden with grape clusters and lobed leaves. The dense vegetation covers most of the panel, leaving little space unadorned. With custom made stand.


Dimensions: 37,00 x 29,00 cm.

Condition: Professionally restored diagonally on fracture line ( see pictures). Surface wear and material losses. Good condition.

Provenance: Acquired in French Auction House - France. Formerly french private collection. Includes old certificate from the gallery Mythes et Legendes ( Paris 1983 ). Invoice seen by Catawiki
