Description from the seller

Victor Vasarely — Ten Compositions in Memory of Béla Bartók — Rare uncut edition

Original title: Victor Vasarely tíz kompozíciója Bartók Béla emlékére

A remarkable artistic tribute by Victor Vasarely, dedicated to the memory of the great Hungarian composer Béla Bartók.

Contents:
Ten large leaves in a paper folder. Each folded leaf presents an artwork by Vasarely on one side and a Hungarian poem inspired by Bartók’s music on the other.

The item offered here is uncut and preserved in one piece, which is rare.
One photo shows another copy that has been cut open for demonstration purposes. Most existing copies were cut into separate sheets.

Condition: Very good copy. Good overall condition. The prints are clean, without stains or creases. The paper folder is clean.

List of artworks:

1. Kossuth Symphony (1903)
2. Violin Concerto (1907–1908)
3. Allegro Barbaro (1911)
4. The Miraculous Mandarin (1918–1926)
5. Cantata Profana (1930)
6. Duo for Violin (1930)
7. String Quartet No. 5 (1934)
8. Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta (1936)
9. Piano Concerto No. 3 (1945)
10. Mikrokosmos (1926–1937)

A beautiful and collectible homage linking two giants of Hungarian art — Vasarely and Bartók — in a single, visually stunning edition.
