Carved from a solid oak wood. Fire-treated with yakisugi, stained with a natural dark stain, and waxed with natural wax.

It's excellent to represent both indoor and outdoor spaces (such as in the garden or at the home entrance).
Method
Yakisugi (charred cedar) is a traditional Japanese method of wood preservation. By slightly charring the surface of the wood without burning the entire piece, the wood becomes waterproof through carbonization and is therefore more durable. It also protects against insects and makes the wood fire-resistant.
