No. 99499841

Antique French - Hors d'oeuvre set - Louis Coignet c. 1900.
Elegant French four-piece hors d’oeuvre serving set made by Louis Coignet, master silversmith in Paris.
The handles are crafted from 950/1000 first-standard French silver, while the serving ends are thickly silver-plated, as was customary for luxury tableware of the period.
The square master’s mark on the plated parts and the rhombus-shaped mark on the silver handles identify the maker as Louis Coignet (registered in Paris, 1893–1928).
Presented in its original, period-correct retailer’s case.
Marks:
LC master’s mark – square (silver-plated parts)
LC master’s mark – rhombus (950 silver handles)
Dimensions:
Case: approx. 22 × 15.8 × 4 cm
Total weight: approx. 429 g
Very good condition. Minor wear to the silver plating from normal use; beautiful patina. The case is structurally sound, with some wear to the exterior covering.
Will be shipped securely packaged.
