The product (Google Glass Explorer Edition) was made available to Google I/O developers in the United States at the beginning of 2013. To expand the Explorer program, Google decided, in April 2014, to make it available to all U.S. residents who wanted to purchase it for $1500 plus taxes. Availability was limited only to April 15, 2014, and only until stocks lasted. Google began widespread distribution of the device starting in the United Kingdom, via the Google Play Store, at a price of £1000. The professional project (Enterprise Edition) currently Google has discontinued the app that managed it with the smartphone, but Glasses is (and remains) the first true smart glasses with augmented reality.
The product listed here turns on but does not communicate with the phone, so it is sold as non-functional, but it should not be missing from a vintage technology collector.
