Grande e raffinatissimo bassorilievo ovale in legno intagliato e dorato
Stile rococò veneziano / Luigi XV – XIX secolo (circa 1850-1890)
Italia (probabile area veneta) o Germania meridionale/Austria
Splendido pannello decorativo a forte rilievo raffigurante una scena pastorale e galante:
una giovane coppia di amanti (probabilmente Dafni e Cloe o coppia galante) sdraiata in un paesaggio boschivo, accompagnata da un cane e da una pecora. Nella parte superiore della cornice due putti/giocosi cherubini tra volute vegetali e motivi rocaille.
Dettagli tecnici:
•  Rilievo: gesso/stucco finemente modellato con bellissima patina avorio antica originale
•  Cornice: legno riccamente intagliato e dorato ad acqua (doratura originale con splendida patina consumata e piccole mancanze che conferiscono carattere)
•  Intaglio molto elaborato con tutti gli elementi tipici del rococò veneziano/italiano: volute a C e a S, foglie d’acanto, rocaille, conchiglie, fiori
Condizioni:
Ottimo stato conservativo per l’epoca. Doratura originale con normali segni del tempo, piccole mancanze e antichi restauri (visibili nelle foto). Nessuna crepa importante né parti mancanti sul rilievo.
