‘This item may have extra costs due to the country's customs laws. Please be aware that this will be under the buyer’s responsibility.’ Description: Rare chronograph/Lap timer Rego Sport manufactured by R. Lapanouse in Switzerland during the 50´s. Overall, in excellent condition, as can be seen in the pictures. Serviced by a professional watchmaker in July 2025, and it’s running very well and keeping good time. Case: Original chromed-plated case with stainless back. Everything is in its original and unpolished condition, including the pushers. Case size: 44mm (lug to lug) x 35,5mm (without crown) Glass: Original plexiglass in very good condition Dial: Original black dial with “Rego Sport“ signature. Gold numerals and hands, all in original condition. Very light patina on the dial, making it even more unique! Movement: manual winding 1 jewel movement with manufacturer inscriptions. Swiss made Strap: NOS brown leather strap matching the watch very nicely. (Total watch length of 23cm) Watch operation: Technically, this watch is a chronograph, though some often refer to it as a “lap timer.” The upper sub-dial records 45-minute intervals, while the lower one totals up to 6 hours. To operate it, the hands must first be manually set to exactly 12 o’clock, allowing the seconds hand to reach 12 as well. At this point, both chronograph registers will also be at “0.” Pressing the top pusher starts the seconds hand, and the bottom pusher stops it. Once the pusher is engaged, the time counts forward until the other pusher is pressed. It can track 45-minute segments on the top register and up to 6 hours on the lower one. To return to the actual time, you must consult another clock and readjust the hands using the traditional push-pull crown. Watch in excellent condition for more than 70 years old! Small scratches and signs of use and age can be seen on the case and glass. As pictures are part of the description, please see them carefully to appreciate the overall quality of the watch. Please bid only if you are sure of your purchase. Due to to age of the watch, an accuracy of +-3 min/day can be expected, and it's considered normal. Insured shipment directly with Catawiki.
