Venturi Luigi
Venturi Luigi
Active in Bologna between 1828 and 1875.
The earliest news about this artist dates back to 1828, when he was a student at the Bologna Academy. He was the author of landscapes and city views in a romantic style ('Bosco di antiche querce con rito druidico', 1854; 'Il Canale delle Moline di Bologna', around 1867, Bologna, National Art Gallery), where the influence of the Bologna-based A. Basoli is evident. He participated from 1847 in Bologna exhibitions and those in Florence (1861, 'Pianura con bestiami che tornano a casa verso sera', 'Paese raffigurante il bagno di due donne al tramontare del sole'), Turin (1863, 'A summer day') and Vienna (1873).
