Nice copy of this beautifully illustrated early twentieth century study of Norway, the collaborative work of Anglo-Dutch painter Nico Jungman, and his wife, Beatrix Jungman. With discussions of reindeer, legends and literature, arts and crafts and the fjords, amongst a variety of other topics.

The book is wonderfully illustrated with 75 striking full page colour plates, captioned on the tissue guards, by Nico Jungman. Published by Adam and Charles Black, London 1905. Publisher’s original green cloth, with gilt lettering, and decorations in orange and black on upper cover and spine. Top page edges gilt.

Book Dimensions: 23 x 17 x 4 cm and Number of Pages: 199 including index + 4 pages of publishers’ books

Condition
The book is beautifully bound, designed and illustrated. Firm, and well bound copy. External covers are in nice shape, slightly marked and worn at corners and spine ends. Internally the book is in very good condition. Old inscription with neat ink on top first half title page. All pages are tightly held at the gutter. Inner hinges are very good. Pages are clean, with occasional light foxing to the margin of some pages and page edges. All colour plates are present and bright (Please see pictures).
