This estate is owned by sisters Fabia Cornaro dell’Acqua and Giovanna Cornaro Folonari, Ambrogio's wife and Giovanni's mother, respectively. It is located in the southwest part of the Montalcino area at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level, a place with breathtaking views, warm temperatures, and where a light, beneficial sea breeze can be felt from afar. This area traditionally produces the softest and most rounded Brunello wines, due to the composition of the soil and the unique microclimate. The 2009 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG “Le Due Sorelle” is made from Sangiovese, fermented in stainless steel and aged for five years, of which at least two in 25 hl Slavonian oak barrels. Its class and personality are immediately evident on the nose, with highly complex aromas and a masterful palate of elegance and personality. The name of the wine is a tribute to the owners. Produced for the first time in 1997, this Brunello Riserva is a wine capable of defying time and a worthy witness to one of the most suitable territories in the world.
