Description from the seller
Printed sculpture on transparent plexiglas, unique edition.
This artist is sold worldwide.
The new series of plexiglass print sculptures titled 'transparent media pop' is created by the artist Lacrymal. It combines street art motifs with a touch of pictorial pop art, which is very engaging. With this first series of plexiglass print sculptures, Lacrymal explores the coexistence of image qualities found on the internet — low and high resolution side by side, forming a kind of digital graffiti or visual fresco projection of diversity. The transparency of the medium evokes an open browser window, allowing us to look through the image as if we are stepping into the layered complexity of contemporary street art.
He comes from street art, an urban practice using spray paint outdoors that gave way to forms and motifs never before seen in the history of art. In this series, he has contemplated a pictorial approach that blends one of the most important movements of the twentieth century, namely pop art and street art.
These are sculptural pieces, each presented on a small wooden base hand-painted with spray paint in colors that match the artwork. The piece can be displayed as is, without the need for additional framing. It is printed using UV technology, ensuring excellent durability over time, and each artwork is carefully packaged for safe delivery.
Shipments with authenticity certificate.
In 2018, Jimmy used the pseudonym Lacrymal for the creation of his paintings, which refers to the gland that secretes tears.
