Titled Cobalt Ruins, this unique stoneware sculpture by Natasha Breen from the Czech Republic (estimated period 2025) measures 120 × 280 × 100 mm, weighs 2700 g, features black, green and cobalt glazes, is signed on the base and not watertight.
Description from the seller
Cobalt Ruins rises like a fragment of a forgotten city - layered, geometric, and enigmatic. The structure recalls a sculptural tower or a topographical model carved by time and erosion. Deep emerald glazes flow between bold, charcoal-black planes, accented by vivid cobalt textures that resemble mineral veins or crystalline growths.
This piece is not intended to hold water, but makes a striking vessel for dried arrangements, or stands alone as a sculptural object - an artifact of imagined civilizations.
Each tier shifts subtly in direction and tone, creating a rhythm of balance and interruption that invites the viewer to circle and explore.
Color palette:
Dark graphite black, mineral green, and intense ultramarine with a hint of volcanic texture.
Care instructions:
Not watertight; for dry flowers or as a sculptural piece.
Artist: Natasha Breen
Medium: Ceramic (stoneware)
Materials: stoneware clay, custom glazes
Firing temperature: 1230°C
Location: Czech Republic
Signed: Yes (signed on the base)
