Pierre Sala - Coat rack - Wood

Vintage Postmodern Pencil Coat Rack by Pierre Sala. A great postmodern coat rack from Pierre Sala's pencil-themed furniture line from the 1980s for Pierre Sala Furniture. Its strikingly primary colored design is composed of a cross blue and red base, hooks in blue, red, yellow and green, and a metal encased pink eraser on top. Playful enough to be in a child's room but whimsical enough to be in a living rom, office, or bedroom. The coat rack component is removable and can be easily reattached as needed. Period: 1970-1980's Made in France Material: Wood Size: 124cm( Height) X 38.2cm (Width) Weight: 1.2kg Condition: In good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Pierre Sala was born in Paris in 1948. Unlike most furniture designers, Pierre Sala did not study architecture or drawing. He comes from the theater world and studied gestural semiology, body langage and scenography. In 1969 he became director, in 1973 director of theater. Resolutely different, he does not apprehend furniture in a traditional way. Furniture is a spectacle in itself, the opportunity to break the usual laws for the benefit of imagination, pleasure, spectacular. From 1981 until 1984, he multiplied the Salons in France and abroad. In September 1981 he was at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs, in 1982 in Milan, in March 1983 in Philadelphia (USA). His furniture was edited in small quantities, sometimes remained prototype. It is for each of them to be a small show in the interior of its owner. Shipping by Post NL with tracking, insurance included. The product will be professionally packed to ensure that it arrives to you in the condtion that you see on the photo.
