Original artwork by Socrate, titled SCARLET AND GOLD, produced in 2025, an acrylic painting with spray paint and gold leaf on cotton canvas, 40 × 40 cm, hand-signed.
Description from the seller
Original work by the artist Socrate
Aerosol bomb, gold leaf, acrylic, marker, on high-quality cotton canvas, mounted on a 3D frame.
a unique artwork, titled and signed by hand.
In this canvas, the brilliance of gold meets the intensity of red to give rise to a scene as powerful as it is delicate.
In the center, a modern geisha stands out, a hypnotic silhouette frozen between tradition and rebellion. Her gaze, turned inward, tells a silent story: that of quiet strength, self-control, beauty that does not seek to shine... and yet illuminates everything.
The golden circle surrounding it is not just a decoration: it is an aura. A sacred moon, crafted from real gold leaf, with each fragment capturing light and transforming the canvas over the hours. A touch of nobility, rare, contrasting with splashes of spray paint — living traces of urban energy, contemporary, untamable.
This work is a dialogue.
Between the fineness of the stroke and the brutality of the gesture.
Between the serenity of the character and the impulse of street art.
between the past and the present moment
Hanging inside a space, it will never go unnoticed.
She imposes her atmosphere, she tells a story, and she invites the observer to slow down, to feel, to contemplate.
More than just a canvas, it's a presence.
A unique, vibrant, and precious piece — a bridge between ancestral art and modern expression.

About the artist :
Originally from the Parisian suburbs, Socrate is an artist emerging from the graffiti movement. She depicts a highly contrasting universe by utilizing the raw and immediate nature of graffiti. She elevates the strength and fragility of images, primarily focusing on traits of femininity through intimate and glamorous representations.
Socrate brings graffiti into the boudoir, thus blending an essentially masculine discipline with the elegance and sensuality of feminine aesthetics. She exhibits in several galleries around the world, alongside many renowned names such as Jonone, Orlinski, Onemizer, C215, Shepard Fairey (Obey), Invader, Banksy, Gomor, and Kev Munday. Tags: woman, emotion, Asia, Japan, cherry blossom, black and white.
