Description:
Beautiful and rare set consisting of three pitchers/jugs in antique majolica, characteristic of Apulian craftsmanship.
Origin and Period: Likely from the manufacture of Grottaglie, Puglia, dating from the late 19th century to the early 20th century.
Made of glazed terracotta using the maiolica technique, hand-decorated.
The jugs feature traditional blue decorations on a light background.
The two smallest have a stylized floral pattern.
The larger central jug 'Ciarla' features shaped ribbon handles and a sponge floral pattern on the upper part.
Conditions: Antique majolica tiles may have defects or signs of age, which attest to their authenticity and history.
Any imperfections are visible in the photos.
