Pair of Antique Candlestick by Theodore and Henri Tuffery
Style Louis XVI

The Pair of antique small silver metal candlesticks Theodore and Henri Tuffery from the late 19th century Louis XVI style.
Straight lines, flutes and classic patterns (such as visible laurel garlands) are characteristic of the Louis XVI style, popular at the end of the 18th century
Although the style is Louis XVI (years 1770-1780), reproductions were made over the following centuries.
The base of the model is beautifully worked and round in shape.
Design: The candlestick features a fluted barrel and a circular base decorated with pearly motifs and water leaves.
There are hallmark: “TH”
The brand “TH” is that of the goldsmith Théodore Tuffery or Theodore and Henri Tuffery in Paris, who specialised in silverware, including silver metal.

This object is antique piece prized for his neoclassical aesthetic.
