Eight-piece Limoges porcelain breakfast set in Art Deco style, dating to 1910–1920.
Description from the seller
It's a fleeting moment, and this rare breakfast set takes us back to the early 20th century.
Consisting of 6 egg holders, a salt cellar, and a central tray, it is made of Limoges porcelain, named after the city that is the capital of the French district where it is produced. For centuries, Limoges has been synonymous with high quality and has recently been recognized with the 'Indication Geographique'.
The tray has a diameter of 19 cm with a raised edge of 1 cm; the salt shaker, with an octagonal base, is 8 cm tall and 4 cm wide; each egg holder is 5 cm high and has a diameter of 4.5 cm.
The decorated borders with alternating motifs of geometric shapes and stylized flowers in characteristic shades of light blue, azure, pink, and yellow, with finishes in pure gold, link this service to the Art Deco period.
I would like to point out some minor color intensity losses on the gold wire due to the delicacy of the material used and the coloring fixation technique. Aside from this, the set is perfect and intact, free of chips and fraying, complete for six people, and is a valuable antique object that will delight those who wish to gift themselves or others a precious collectible piece.
We do not send outside the European Community.
For the islands, we reserve the right to request a settlement for any additional expenses charged by the shippers.
