Description from the seller
For any boys, or boys-at-heart, who love nothing more than sports, these two Lladro sculptures are sure to be a great addition to your collection. Sculpted with Lladro’s usual precision and attention to quality and detail, both retired sculptures offer the collector a glimpse into childhood joys and the sports that captivate the imagination of adults.
“Can I Play?” tales a look at the popular sport of baseball in this Collector’s Edition piece designed in 1990. One can almost hear the crack of the ball against the bat when looking at this fine sculpture. One can just imagine the excitement the boy will feel when he hits a home run, and the crowd roars with applause.
“Starting Forward” was designed in 2004 as a special piece for the Rotary Club International. Whether you are a sports enthusiast or not, you can’t help but feel excited as this sculpture captures the moment just before the boy is about to kick the ball. What an aura of excitement!
Both of these fine sculptures are in mint condition and come in their original boxes. Together they make a stunning and eye-catching display for those who love sport.
How many collectors can remember playing with trains when they were younger? Certainly this Lladro sculpture, “All Aboard” is evocative of those happy childhood days. Whether playing on the floor with a toy train as this boy is, or building a larger table-top model with real tracks and engines, collectors are sure to remember happy times when they, too, enjoyed playing with trains. This very special sculpture is a rare 1992 limited edition piece in mint condition and comes in its original box. Certain to add just the right touch of nostalgia to any collection.
