Victorian English mahogany games table, with elegant mahogany feather top in excellent condition.
The lower edge features rich carvings and floral scrolls, with the exception of a small frontal gap clearly visible in the photos. The carefully crafted central base ends with four curved legs that open into sculpted curls and rest on original casters, still in perfect working order. The top opens to reveal a red playmat and, once the base is rotated, offers a stable surface for games.
Inside, there's a compartment for cards and accessories, trimmed with two red velvet borders. The hinges and rotation mechanism are intact and smooth. There's only a slight crack on the stem. Solid construction, very good aesthetics.
