Ko cossaar ( 1874 - 1966 ) - Meisje met kind

Ko Cossaar (name variants: Jan Cossaar, Jacobus Cornelis Wynand Cossaar, Jacobus Cornelis Wijnand Cossaar; often signed as J. Cossaar) was born on August 8, 1874, in Amsterdam and died on November 25, 1966, in The Hague.

Cossaar studied at the Teekenschool voor Kunstambachten and at the Rijksacademie van Beelden Kunsten, both in Amsterdam. He himself was the teacher of Leo Niehorster.

He was both a painter, watercolorist, draftsman, and graphic artist.

Ko worked as an artist in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and The Hague, as well as in Paris and London.

Cossaar was a member of Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam, Pulchri Studio, and the Haagse Kunstkring, both in The Hague.
