A very beautiful vintage amplifier, the Rotel RA 980 BX
The amplifier has a neutral and detailed sound. Well built, with 6 output drivers per channel and a clear internal component layout. Impressive damping factor of 1000, providing excellent control over the bass reproduction. This is rarely found in amplifiers or receivers, only in the very high-end hi-fi segment. The massive ring core transformer and four capacitors ensure that power is never refused when needed. Very convenient headphone output. An excellent-sounding amplifier, also performing well at low volumes. The amplifier is in very good condition, as shown in the photos.
An amplifier sold on Hifi Vintage site for around €1000.
