A very fine antique 4/4 italian master violin, labeled LORENZO VENTAPANE FABBRICANTE DI STRUMENTI DA CORDE Abita Calata Borgo di Loreto N°. 23. The instrument is in ready to play condition with no cracks, new rosewood set up, new baroque bridge and new strings. The violin has an excellent high to medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple. Matched sides. Rich brown color varnish with tears and wears over golden ground shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 588 mm and the back 359 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 165 mm; middle bouts: 106 mm; lower bouts: 204 mm. Full size. The sound is very sweet, rich, powerful, suitable for soloist. Insured shipping with DHL worldwide
