Grape Variety/Vinification
This wine is a cuvée made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes sourced from five of Barolo’s most renowned vineyards: Brunate, Liste, Cerequio, Cannubi, and Raviole. After a 15-day fermentation, the wine ages for at least 24 months in large wooden casks, followed by 12 months of bottle maturation. The 2016 vintage is considered exceptionally good, offering remarkable balance, depth, and aging potential.
Tasting Notes
“Lecinquevigne” is a powerful yet elegant top-tier Barolo from the prestigious house of Damilano. In the glass, it reveals intense aromas of sweet red cherries, refined leather, tobacco, and spices. On the palate, notes of sweet tobacco, cedar, candied fruit, and floral nuances emerge, culminating in a round, silky finish. The wine is very powerful and boasts an impressive structure, thanks to firm yet perfectly ripe tannins that provide excellent aging potential especially notable in the outstanding 2016 vintage.
