Elegant Russian Imperial silver cream jug, crafted in Moscow around 1900 by the silversmith Ivan Nikolaevich Mnekin (И.М., active 1886–1909). Finely chased (ciselé) decoration with naturalistic floral motifs on the side, characteristic of late 19th–early 20th century Moscow silverwork. Graceful classical form with a wide spout and curved handle, typical of the refined domestic silver pieces of the late Tsarist era. Fully hallmarked with: Kokoshnik head mark (Moscow assay office, 84 zolotniks = 875/1000 silver) Maker’s mark: И.М. (IM) for Ivan Mnekin. Dimensions: height 9 cm, width 11 cm Weight: 121 g Material: solid silver 84 zolotniks (875/1000) Condition: excellent and intact, no dents or repairs, beautiful original patina. Mnekin’s workshop was active in Moscow between 1886 and 1909, producing finely detailed silver objects in both classical and naturalistic styles.
