Cette semaine je partage avec vous une remarquable collection d'objets récoltés en République démocratique du Congo dans les années 2000 par un voyageur fin connaisseur des arts traditionnels.
Il s'agit de pièces qui sortent pour la première fois, jamais exposées ni proposées à la vente auparavent.
Parmi cette collection, des incontournables : un beau grand Nkishi Basongye ; une figure Bakongo sans mains ; une statuette Katanda aux bras levés utilisée lors des rites du Bwami ; une très belle tête Buyu Bembe janiforme ; un ancien crucifix Bakongo ; une pipe Songye et une Bakongo magnifiquement sculptées ; une statue Kela à l'esthétique incomparable ; une statue Lengola au corps géométrique ; un masque Nyanga ; quelque peu inquiétant ; des très beaux masques Chokwe ; un rare masque miniature Lega à deux visage et d'autres objets encore.

Par ailleurs, je vous propose en parallèle un ensemble de masques Dan de haute qualité. Il suffit de s'attarder un peu sur leurs formes et face interne pour se rendre compte de la qualité des objets.
