Werner Schou studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen before working at the Danish design studio of Kaare Klint. In 1948, Schou established his own design company, which quickly gained a reputation for its modern and elegant furniture.
Schou also worked as an interior designer on projects such as the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen and the Danish Embassy in Washington DC. He received numerous awards for his work, including the gold medal at the Brussels World Fair in 1958.
His most well-known designs include the 'T-Chair' in 1957 and the 'Cross-Plex' table in 1960. Schou always paid close attention to the quality of his designs, using high-quality materials and local artisans to manufacture his furniture.
Nowadays, Werner Schou's creations continue to be highly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts around the world for their timeless elegance and exceptional quality.
