Description from the seller

Corneille was a Dutch painter, graphic artist, and ceramist, and a co-founder of the CoBrA movement and the Reflex movement. Born Guillaume Cornelis van Beverloo in Belgium in 1922, he is known for his imaginative, brightly colored works that often featured themes of nature, joy, and sensual women and birds. His style was heavily influenced by artists like Picasso, Klee, and Miró, as well as African art, and he later developed a "new figuration" after extensive travels.
