DDR vlag – 3,00 x 1,65 meter – met fabriekslabel 1979 , bedoeld voor overheidsgebouwen of kazernes

Een grote en authentieke vlag uit de voormalige DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik). Staatsvlag-exemplaar, herkenbaar aan het aangebrachte controlelabel en productiegegevens (VEB Bandtex, periode 1979). 

Deze vlag behoort tot een van de meest herkenbare symbolen van de Koude Oorlog.
	•	De DDR werd opgericht in 1949 na de verdeling van Duitsland.
	•	In 1959 werd het wapen toegevoegd aan de vlag om zich te onderscheiden van West-Duitsland (BRD).
	•	De vlag hing tot 3 oktober 1990, het jaar van de Duitse hereniging en het einde van de DDR.
	•	Na de val van de Berlijnse Muur werden veel DDR–symbolen verwijderd of vernietigd, waardoor originele exemplaren zoals deze steeds schaarser worden.

Met metalen ringen en originele etiketten nog bevestigd 

Deze vlag met productie/controlelabels is extra interessant omdat veel oude DDR-vlaggen na 1990 vernietigd zijn.
