The Rum Collection: Supremo 5 Years and 8 Years
The Supremo rum collection, Paraguayan agricultural style by the ALPOM distillery, highlights indigenous tradition with an ancestral recipe hidden for over 500 years. Made with premium jungle sugarcane, these rums are first aged in native brown incense barrels—hard and porous, which oxidizes and smokes—to gain complexity, an intense amber color, and notes of caramel, toffee, and walnut. They are then matured in French oak for a smooth finish. These are pure rums, without additives, ideal for sipping neat or in tropical cocktails.
Supremo 5 Years offers a balanced and approachable profile: a nose with smoky notes and fresh citrus, a creamy palate of vanilla, caramel, and wild herbs, with a medium, subtle spice finish. It is vibrant, with tannins that provide structure without being overpowering.
Supremo 8 Years deepens the maturity: intense aromas of toasted oak, walnut, and subtle smoke; A palate rich in toffee, dark chocolate, and dried fruits, with a long, velvety, and balanced finish. More complex, it evokes Paraguayan jungles.
