ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece belongs to the series “Composiciones femeninas 2022”. They are an experimentation of the female figure through geometric elements providing a minimalist form similar to what would be a woman. It seeks the delineation of planes and the play of light and shadow to give movement to the figure.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Manolo Llaca “Cepo” is a Spanish-Mexican sculptor and draftsman who has exhibited his works individually and collectively in Mexico, Spain and France. He was born in Mexico City in 1963 and is currently based in Madrid since 2004. He studied Industrial Design and worked in this field for many years and taught design courses and workshops in different universities in Guadalajara, Mexico. In 1998 he had his first collective exhibition at the Instituto Cabañas in this city. In 2003 he moved to the city of Zaragoza, Spain. He studied “Arts applied to Sculpture” at the School of Art of Zaragoza and in 2004 he settled in Madrid where he continued his training in “Sculptural Techniques” at the School of Art La Palma. In July 2004 she has her first individual exhibition “Petits espaces illimités” in Argentan, France. Since 2005 he has been working with other sculptors in the artistic workshop “plataforma34”.
