The Kodascope range was created by Eastman Kodak in 1923. While the first Kodascope was initially sold as a kit including a camera, projector, film splicer, and projection screen, competition from 1924 onwards, which sold projectors separately, led Kodak to sell the projector independently. Kodascope was the main trade name for Kodak's 8 mm projectors.
