Royal Copenhagen – ‘Fox’ (Vos) – Gudrun Lauesen – Model 22752 – Hand-painted porcelain (c. 1955–1975)
Beautiful hand-painted porcelain figurine by Danish designer Gudrun Lauesen for Royal Copenhagen, depicted as a lying fox ('Ræv'). This model – number 22752 – is part of the beloved animal figures produced by Royal Copenhagen in the second half of the 20th century, and is a splendid example of Lauesen’s warm, natural style.
The voos is depicted in a compact, resting pose, with soft lines, subtle expression, and a beautifully detailed fur texture. The warm ochre and brown tones are entirely hand-painted, making each piece unique. The underside bears the green Royal Copenhagen stamp, the three classic blue wave lines, and the hand-applied model number.
A particularly beautiful and decorative piece for enthusiasts of Scandinavian stoneware and Royal Copenhagen animal figurines.
