Delicate and exquisite porcelain figurine of a cunning fox curled up in a ball, made of glazed porcelain of the highest quality by the famous porcelain manufactory Rosenthal Germany in the mid-1950s.

The work of the most famous Hungarian sculptor - Andras Sinko.

Very beautiful and delicate work, decorated with hand-painted underglaze in realistic colors, traditional for this manufactory. Careful study of all the details in both sculpture and painting.

On the bottom of the work there is a green underglaze hallmark Rosenthal Germany, used in 1956-1957. There is an inscription in the hallmark that the figure was painted by hand. In the dough under the glaze, the author's mark of the sculptor Andras Sinko.

The most famous Hungarian artist, sculptor Andras Sinko (1901-1976 Budapest). 1917-1923 studied at the Hungarian College of Applied Arts under the guidance of venerable sculptors Mátrai Lajos, Simay Imre. From 1928 to 1930 he worked in Paris, where three of his sculptures were exhibited at the spring exhibition of 1930. In 1936 he settled in the city of Pecs, Hungary, where he became an artist at the Zelnai factory. Worked at the factory for 26 years. During this time, he created many sculptures and reliefs.

The history of a wonderful porcelain manufactory is interesting, each piece of which is perfection - a real work of art. Almost every year, the manufactory changed its brand, thanks to which contemporaries can almost accurately determine the date of release of each item.

In 1879, a porcelain factory was opened in Selb (Eastern Bavaria). The creator of the idea, Philip Rosenthal, took this matter seriously and thoroughly. As a result, over the course of several decades of active work, other small factories and manufactories located nearby joined its production. As a result of joint activities, the joint-stock company Rosenthal AG was formed, which later became one of the most famous manufacturers of German porcelain.

Philip Jr. (a descendant of Rosenthal), being too creative in nature, expanded porcelain production in the second half of the 20th century and created the creative workshop "Rosenthal studio line". This is the beginning of the emergence of completely new porcelain forms in dishes and interior items. The name of the porcelain house Rosenthal becomes recognizable all over the world.

In the 1980s, after a major reconstruction of its factories, the company delimited the directions, creating a separate territory for each. The result is a modern porcelain industry with numerous lines for the production of tableware, everyday dishes, home decoration, various table accessories and much more. Famous sculptors, artists, designers still work in each direction to this day, creating porcelain masterpieces.
